1. At least 35 people are dead in three states ravaged by out of control wildfires. The blazes have scorched millions of acres and the crisis is forecast to continue today with high winds and hot temperatures fanning the flames.
2.Tropical Storm Sally is roaring towards the northern Gulf Coast. It’s currently churning about 175 miles southeast of Biloxi, Mississippi with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour.
3. A group of people is demanding that St. Louis County Executive Sam Page allow high school sports teams in the area to compete this fall. Hundreds protested outside Page’s home last night. The crowd held signs and chanted “Let them play.”
