While driving your vehicle on low fuel or an empty tank can damage your ride or even lead to a crash, it’s still nice to know how far you can go when the empty light comes on. Most automobile manufacturers build in about a gallon of reserve fuel beyond the “empty” line. But if your daily commute is only a handful of roundtrip miles, some cars can go for days on ’empty’.

When we’re driving and my wife hears me whistling she knows we’re getting close to E. It’s a game some people play.
Guardian Angels do exist…I lost that “Empty Tank” game one time on 270 and I was clearly on E and was trying to get to a gas station when the truck just stopped on the exit ramp. I wasn’t even out of the truck when a red pickup pulled up behind me and he asked if everything was ok. Told him about playing the game with myself and lost. He walks back to his truck and had a 1 gallon gas can full! Filled me up and I was on my way. Thank you God for guardian angels.
Good luck if you play the “Empty Tank” game.
